Thousands of people both had fun and learned at BARÜFEST'22

Thousands of students, graduates and university candidates participated in the science, culture, art and sports activities organized by our university within the scope of BARÜFEST'22.
Bartın University (BARU) has left behind another full week. Organized by our university in cooperation with Bartın Labour and Employment Institution, the “8. At the "Career and Employment Days" event, hundreds of students and graduates met with guests who are competent in their fields. In the event that started with the opening ceremony, 11 different interviews were held in 8 different sessions and sector representatives met with students and alumni.
Great interest in the "Journey to Success" seminar
In the events held in Kutlubey Campus within the scope of BARÜFEST'22, Communication Specialist Instructor İsmail Yolcu came together with students from 4 different cities at the “Journey to Success” seminar. Meeting with high school students from Bartın, Zonguldak, Bolu and Karabük, Yolcu gave information about success and motivation.
Turkish Classical Music Concert received great applause
BARÜFEST'22 opening ceremony was held at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Education and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Making the opening speech of the ceremony, BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr Orhan Uzun emphasized the importance of the activities held with the understanding of "Be in the Focus, Not in the Stand". At the opening ceremony, the Turkish Classical Music Choir, led by Bartın Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism Chief Sezen Öztaş, took the stage. The participants of the Turkish Classical Music Concert applauded the performers after the concert which lasted for approximately one and a half hours.
I. International Symposium on Information and Document Management from Tradition to the Future
Hosted by our university, “I. International Symposium on Information and Records Management from Tradition to the Future” was concluded with the speeches of 63 participants from 7 different countries who are competent in their fields in 16 different sessions.
Entrepreneurship, Innovation and KOSGEB Supports
In the conference held at Bartın University (BARU) was given information about KOSGEB supports and were told inspiring success stories of entrepreneurs. Gökhan Akdağoğlu, KOSGEB Bartın Manager, gave brief information about KOSGEB and how the institutional activities are conducted in Bartın. The entrepreneurs, Esmanur Yılmaz and Ali Kütükbaş, also shared their success stories and entrepreneurship experiences with the participant students at the conference.
Conferences, theatres, cinemas, exhibitions, interesting experiments, and plays…
It was a marvelous 2-day festival with a huge turnout of participants in the activities held on our campuses. The guest speakers competent in their fields delivered speeches on different subjects. Four different painting and photography exhibitions were also held. The student groups, on the other hand, gave information about their work and found new teammates at several booths in the pond area. Theater performances and movies screened at the outdoor cinema attracted arouse interest by students.
International students display their own cultures and traditions
International students from 69 different countries studying at BARU showcased their countries with an array of cultural displays, international food and traditional performances with many activities during the festivals. The poetry, song, and dance performances of the students who define themselves as the volunteer ambassadors of Turkey attracted great attention and added color to the festivities with their local clothes.
Champions receive trophies and medals
Within the scope of BARÜFEST'22, the winners of the sports competitions that continued for a month in five different branches were announced with a ceremony. The committee gave medals and cups to the top three individuals or teams in tennis, football tennis, basketball, volleyball and football matches.
Thousands of people have fun at seven different concerts
Seven concerts were held at BARÜFEST'22, which received great acclaim. Creating a visual feast with the lights of their phones during the concerts, students sang along at the concerts. On the other hand, the paint festival “ColorFest” was the scene of colorful images in which the students painted each other with the paint powders in their hands by dancing to the music DJs played.
