BARU Weightlifter Kaan Kahriman Becomes European Champion with 3 Medals

National weightlifter Kaan Kahriman, a student at the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Bartın University (BARU), became the European Champion by winning two gold and one silver medal at the European Weightlifting Championships.

Representing Türkiye at the European Weightlifting Championships held in Chișinău, the capital of Moldova, Kaan Kahriman once again brought pride to BARU with a remarkable performance. Competing in the men’s 67 kg category, he secured the gold medal in the snatch with 146 kg, the silver medal in the clean and jerk with 170 kg, and another gold medal in the total with a combined lift of 316 kg—earning him the European Champion title.
