Bartın University (BARÜ), with its project supported by TÜBİTAK, aims to offer innovative solutions for the production of sustainable and eco-friendly panels that preserve ecological balance.

Continuing its efforts to protect the natural ecosystem, BARÜ has initiated another sustainable and environmentally friendly project. Within the scope of a university-industry collaboration protocol between BARÜ, Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University (BAİBÜ), and Yıldız Entegre Ağaç Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., one of Turkey's leading brands in the forest products sector, a new project has been developed.

Led by Prof. Dr. Abdullah İstek from the Department of Forest Industry Engineering at Bartın University Faculty of Forestry, the project has been deemed worthy of support under TÜBİTAK-TEYDEB 1505 University-Industry Cooperation Support Program.

Titled “Enhancing Adhesive Efficiency in Particleboard Production,” the project will focus on innovative solutions to develop sustainable and eco-friendly panels during the particleboard production process. The project team includes Kenan Çağrı Nevruz as the Customer Organization Project Manager representing the industrial partner, Yıldız Entegre Ağaç Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Deniz Aydemir from BARÜ, Dr. Orhan Kelleci, and Dr. Süheyla Esin Sarıusta from BAİBÜ will contribute as researchers.
