BARÜ's BİRUS Project Introduced in Spain

The project supported by Bartın University (BARÜ) under the European Union (EU) IPA II Framework Agreement was introduced at the "World Climate Change and Sustainability Congress" held in Barcelona, Spain.

Dr. Lecturer Aylin Alişan Yetkin from the Department of Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture, and Design at Bartın University (BARÜ) presented the work related to the "Climate Change Adaptation Strategies: Reducing Flood and Water Scarcity Risks in Bartın" (BİRUS) Project, financed under the EU IPA II Framework Agreement, in Spain. Alişan Yetkin, a member of the BİRUS project team, discussed the applications related to the project's second and third activities at the third "World Climate Change and Sustainability Congress" held in Barcelona.

At the congress, Yetkin met with experts from various disciplines, including engineering, urban planning, landscape architecture, tourism, and industry, to discuss the effects of climate change. She presented the strategies of the BİRUS Project aimed at reducing flood and water scarcity risks specific to Bartın. The event included panel discussions and oral presentations, where project goals were addressed in conjunction with global adaptation strategies, enriched by the insights of experts from different fields.
