Under its "Feed the Future" project, Bartın University (BARU) is showcasing smart greenhouse systems as a prime example of digitalization in agriculture.

A meeting was organized as part of the "Feed the Future" project—a collaborative initiative jointly funded by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye. The project is led by the Future Research Association's applicant, the Western Black Sea Development Agency (BAKKA), in partnership with BARU and the Bartın Science and Education Association as co-applicants, with additional support from subsidiaries of the Bartın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.

During the meeting, Dr. Cevdet Gümüş, Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant and Animal Production at Bartın Vocational School, delivered a presentation detailing the development process of the region's first smart greenhouse systems. Following the presentation, attendees visited an application area equipped with modern, technology-adapted systems that also feature BARU's specialized work in "Smart Logistics and Integrated Regional Applications" within the broader scope of 'smart systems.'
