Bartın University (BARÜ) has become one of the exemplary universities in "Barrier-Free Access" with 40 awards

In the "2023 Barrier-Free Universities Awards" organized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Bartın University received a total of 16 awards, becoming the 4th university in Turkey to achieve this, and increasing the number of "Barrier-Free University Flags" to 40.

The 2023 winners of the Barrier-Free Universities Awards, organized to encourage the creation of a barrier-free ecosystem in universities, were announced at a ceremony held at the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). It was stated that 1,091 applications were made from 97 universities and 56 universities were entitled to receive 295 flags in the list announced by YÖK President Prof Dr Erol Özvar. Bartın University (BARÜ), which carries out significant work under the concept of "Barrier-Free University and Accessible Campus was deemed worthy of 16 awards and deserved to be the 4th in Turkey.

BARÜ received 4 Orange flags in "Accessibility in Space", 6 Green flags in "Accessibility in Education", and 6 Blue flags in "Accessibility in Socio-Cultural Activities" categories at the 2023 Barrier-Free University Awards."
