Muhammed Furkan Özbek, a student at Bartın University (BARÜ) Faculty of Sports Sciences, placed fourth in the men's 73 kg category at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

As Turkey's sole representative in weightlifting at the Paris 2024 Olympics held in the capital of France, Muhammed Furkan Özbek added another success to his achievements.

Competing in the men's 73 kg category, Muhammed Furkan Özbek succeeded in lifting 150 kg in the snatch and 191 kg in the clean and jerk. Reaching a total of 341 kg, the national weightlifter finished the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in fourth place.
