BARÜ ranked 3rd in Türkiye with its student projects

Bartın University (BARÜ) students increased the number of projects accepted within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2209-A to 685 in the 4th year and became the 3rd in Türkiye in the 2023/1 period.

It is aimed to carry the achievements achieved at Bartın University (BARÜ), which has achieved a significant rise in national and international rankings, into the future in a sustainable manner. In this context, the university puts its students at the center of all its studies and raises new stars of the science and technology world with "Project-Based Learning" strategies. These studies are crowned with the success of BARÜ students within the scope of TÜBİTAK "2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program".

BARÜ's sustainable success: Ranked in the top 5 in 7 periods

Within the scope of the program carried out by TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Programs Directorate (BİDEB), BARÜ students managed to rank 3rd in Turkey in the 2023/1 period with 150 projects accepted.

Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A support program, from the beginning BARÜ students’ performed their best with high number of acceptance rate:   32 in the 2019/2 period, 27 in the 2020/1 period, 58 in the 2020/2 period, 52 in the 2021/1 period, 133 in the 2021/2 period, 164 in the 2022/1 period and 2022/2. During this period, 69 projects were found worthy of support. BARÜ, whose number of supported projects reached 685 in 4 years, also showed sustainable success by being among the top 5 in Türkiye for 7 periods.

Research projects for industry were also supported

In addition, BARÜ students were supported within the scope of the program in which TÜBİTAK supported successful students in their fields to ensure technological transformation and reach the desired levels in the value chain, and called for improving university-industry cooperation and providing students with access to new technologies. 3 projects prepared by students with TÜBİTAK "2209-B University Students Research Projects Support Program" were accepted.
