BARÜ Continues to Strengthen Its Institutional Structure with a Focus on “Quality”

Bartın University (BARÜ) has made significant progress in its commitment to continuous improvement, with approximately 50% of undergraduate programs across seven faculties achieving accreditation, while the accreditation processes for 11 programs are ongoing.
BARÜ continues its efforts within a quality-centered approach in education, research and development, community contribution, and administrative services.
19 programs Accredited Across 7 Faculties
With the goal of spreading a culture of quality throughout its ecosystem and placing students at the center of its efforts, BARÜ has successfully accredited approximately 50% of its undergraduate programs across seven faculties. Out of the 41 undergraduate programs with graduates, the following programs have been accredited: Faculty of Education: Science Education, Elementary Mathematics Education, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Art Education, Primary Education, Social Studies Education, and Turkish Education; Faculty of Engineering, Architecture, and Design: Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Landscape Architecture; Faculty of Literature: Philosophy, History, and Turkish Language and Literature; Bartın Faculty of Forestry: Forest Industry Engineering and Forest Engineering; Faculty of Science: Molecular Biology and Genetics; Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences: Business Administration; Faculty of Islamic Sciences: Islamic Sciences.
11 programs in the Accreditation Process
The accreditation process is ongoing for 11 programs at BARÜ: Faculty of Sport Sciences: Site visits have been successfully completed for the Coaching Education and Physical Education and Sports Teaching programs, while external evaluators' visits are expected for the Recreation and Sports Management programs; Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences: Accreditation processes are advancing for Economics, International Trade and Logistics, and Management Information Systems programs; Faculty of Science: The Computer Technology and Information Systems, Biotechnology, and Mathematics programs are in the final stages of readiness; Faculty of Education: The English Language Teaching program is awaiting site visits after meeting all the necessary qualifications.
