BARU Increases Grant Amount for the 2025 Erasmus Higher Education Mobility Program

As part of its internationalization strategies, Bartın University (BARU) continues to expand its global cooperation network through the Erasmus Higher Education Mobility Program while increasing its grant amounts.
 
The grant amounts for Erasmus Higher Education Mobility Projects coordinated by the Turkish National Agency and enabling student and staff mobility through bilateral partnerships between higher education institutions have been announced. In line with its internationalization goals, BARU has consistently increased its project budgets each year. This year, it not only raised its grant amounts but also achieved significant success in terms of international mobility and cooperation.
 
According to the project grant amounts announced by the Turkish National Agency, BARU has increased its total funding to €272,580 through the Erasmus KA171 HED Project (Partner Countries outside the EU) and the Erasmus KA131 HED Project (Programme Countries within the EU). In the KA171 program, BARU first began collaborating with six countries in 2022; by 2025, it had signed agreements with higher education institutions in 14 different countries, raising its financial support to €93,880.
 
Under the Erasmus KA131 program, BARU also increased its grant amount, securing €178,700 in funding while further expanding its global education network. In this scope, BARU has grown its bilateral agreements with Erasmus programme countries to 108 universities across 21 countries, covering 501 departmental agreements offering its students opportunities for international education, internships, and intercultural interaction.
