Rector Akkaya’s Message on August 30 Victory Day

Bartın University (BARÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya, in a message issued on the occasion of the 104th anniversary of August 30 Victory Day, emphasized that August 30 is one of the most significant turning points in Turkish history.

Bartın University (BARÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya issued a message marking the 104th anniversary of August 30 Victory Day. Stating that the historic victory was one of the strongest manifestations of the Turkish nation’s determination for independence and love of the homeland, Rector Akkaya said:

“The August 30 Victory, achieved as a result of the struggle carried out by our nation with great faith and determination in unity and solidarity, has become one of the most significant turning points in our history. This great victory demonstrated to the world our nation’s determination to preserve its independence and its deep commitment to its homeland. I celebrate the 104th anniversary of August 30 Victory Day with great pride and enthusiasm, and I commemorate with mercy and gratitude our revered martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our homeland and our heroic veterans, particularly Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms.”
