BARU Collaborates with Rosario University from Colombia

Bartın University (BARU) will engage in scientific collaboration with Rosario University, located in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, within the scope of educational and research-development activities.

In line with its internationalisation goals, BARU continues to strengthen its cooperation with higher education institutions around the world. BARU, which offers internationally accredited educational programs, a highly qualified academic staff, and laboratories equipped with innovative technologies, has recently established a partnership with Rosario University, one of the most prestigious universities in Colombia. Within this framework, joint projects will be developed through international support programs such as Erasmus and Horizon, the continuation of the EU framework program.
 
BARU Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zahmakıran and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Dr. Ahmet Yirmibeş met with representatives of Rosario University for various discussions. After visiting the faculties and departments of Rosario University, Prof. Dr. Zahmakıran delivered a presentation on BARU's specialized efforts in "Smart Logistics and Integrated Regional Practices" as part of the "Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project."
 
Additionally, information was provided about the “R&D Project Market,” the region’s longest-running science and technology festival, which will be held for the 7th time this year with international participation. As a result of the meetings, both universities, which prioritise student projects, agreed to further enhance their cooperation, develop joint projects under Erasmus and Horizon support programs, and strengthen ties between faculties and departments through collaborative efforts.
