The project titled "Cost-Effective Pilot Scale Production of Bioethanol" between our University and Pakistan's Government College Lahore University (GCU) within the scope of the Mevlana Pak-Turk Project-based agreement of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has been successfully completed.

The research project on biofuel production between our university and Pakistan's Government College Lahore University (GCU) was successfully completed with studies carried out in both countries. With the support of the Pakistan Higher Education Commission and the Turkish Higher Education Council, the project carried out within the scope of the "YÖK Mevlana Project Pak-Turk Joint Research Program" has developed important proposals for low-cost bioethanol production.

Including researcher mobility and Yozgat Bozok University Rector Prof. Dr. The project, led by Ahmet Karadağ, was later carried out by Dr. Instructor It was completed under the direction of its member Ufuk Çelebioğlu. In the project, suggestions were developed for low-cost bioethanol production by using hazelnut shell, hazelnut husk (cob) and rhododendron, which are extensively found in the Black Sea Region.
The outputs obtained within the scope of the project were published under the name of "Efficient biomass saccharification using a novel cellobiohydrolase from Clostridium clariflavum for utilization in biofuel industry" in the international scientific journal RSC Advances, which was scanned in SCI-E and had an impact factor of 3.1. In addition, under the supervision of Rector Karadağ, Özgenur Dinçer, who has a master's degree in the Department of Biology at the Graduate Education Institute of our University, has successfully completed her thesis titled "Molecular cloning, expression and characterization of B-xylanase from Thermotoga napthophila for the production of bioethanol". Performing long-term studies in the laboratories of Bartın University within the scope of the "YÖK Mevlana Project Pak-Turkish Joint Research Program", Dinçer took part in two-month research at Pakistan's Government College Lahore University.
