Prominent Businessman Şefik Yılmaz Dizdar Shares His Experiences with Students

Offering important advice to young people by sharing his entrepreneurial journey, Dizdar stated:
“I entered business life in 1961. I started working at the Karabük factories of the General Directorate of Turkish Iron and Steel Enterprises. I graduated from the Department of Domestic Trade and Finance in İzmir. I am now 88 years old, and throughout my life I have faced many challenges. While working in the iron and steel industry, I served in various positions. After leaving that sector, I evaluated global political and economic developments and entered the textile industry. Through Taha Tekstil, we achieved significant success. Today, the textile sector in Türkiye is going through difficult times and costs have increased. Currently, we have around 1,375 LC Waikiki stores, some of which operate abroad. Our young people need to make good use of entrepreneurial opportunities and closely follow new market demands.”
