BARÜ's project aiming at sustainability in the rangeland ecosystem will be the first in Turkey

With the project to be carried out by Bartın University (BARÜ) in the Melen Stream Basin in Düzce, the effects of the rangeland ecosystem of the river coast region on fungi that form a symbiosis with plant roots will be investigated for the first time in Turkey.

The project, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şahin Palta from Bartın University (BARÜ) Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forestry Engineering, has been entitled to receive support within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1002-Fast Support Program. The effects of the coastal rangeland ecosystem on sustainability will be investigated with the project titled "Investigation of the Effects of Different Coastal Zones of the Büyük Melen Stream on the Change of Some Vegetation and Soil Properties" to be carried out in Düzce.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melih Öztürk from BARÜ Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design, Department of Landscape Architecture and Res. Asst. Eren Baş from BARÜ Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forestry Engineering will also contribute to the project that will be a leading study in Turkey.
