BARU Surpasses 5,485 Universities in 8 Years in Webometrics Ranking

Bartın University (BARU) has achieved significant success by surpassing 5,485 universities over the past eight years in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities. Among approximately 32,000 higher education institutions worldwide, BARU has climbed to the 1,552nd position, while ranking 31st among Turkish universities.

The preliminary results of the 2025 edition of the Webometrics Ranking of Universities, which evaluates global higher education institutions based on visibility, transparency (openness), and excellence indicators, have been announced. According to the ranking, Bartın University has once again improved its position both nationally and internationally, reaching the 1,552nd rank among nearly 32,000 institutions from over 200 countries. Focused on quality with a philosophy of "continuous improvement," BARU has once again demonstrated its sustainable progress.

In 2017, BARU was ranked 7,037th. With consistent efforts and performance improvements, it has risen 5,485 places over eight years, an exceptional climb rarely seen in such rankings.

Furthermore, BARU made a remarkable leap of 32 places compared to the previous year among Turkish higher education institutions included in the ranking, reaching the 31st position in the preliminary results.
