The project, which won first place in the R&D Project Market organized by Bartın University (BARÜ) for the third time in 2019, was developed and won the "Best Enterprise" award at TEKNOFEST Ankara.

The R&D Project Market event organized by Bartın University (BARÜ) since 2017, believing in the ideal of "Fully Independent Strong Turkey", continues to shed light on the future. The projects presented at the science and technology festival organized with the aim of contributing to the National Technology Move turn into high value-added products and initiatives. In this direction, the idea of "High Performance Hybrid Fuel Cell Design for Military Applications", which won the first place in the R&D Project Market held for the third time in 2019, was developed and turned into the hydrogen scooter Hebunk project, and with its high localization rate, it won the grand prize within the scope of the "Enterprise Program" at TEKNOFEST Ankara.

The world's first hydrogen scooter: Hebunk

Along with Hebunk, the world's first hydrogen scooter, Turkey's first domestic electrolyzer device, which produces hydrogen at stations used to fill hydrogen cartridges, was developed. Thus, Hebunk scooters can convert water into hydrogen and oxygen gas in the electrolyzer device by using a renewable energy source at the stations. The green hydrogen produced is stored in hydrogen cartridges to power scooters.
