One in Every 10 Students at BARÜ Has Produced a Project

  • In the last six years, students at BARÜ have turned 1,120 ideas into actual projects.
  • At the undergraduate and associate degree levels, one in every ten active students has developed a research project.

At Bartın University (BARÜ), one in every ten active students has succeeded in producing a project supported under TÜBİTAK’s 2209-A Program, raising the number of supported student research projects to 1,120 over the past six years.

The research and knowledge production ecosystem at BARÜ has been transformed into a sustainable academic culture, continually strengthened by student projects. Under the “2209-A Research Projects Support Program for Undergraduate Students” of TÜBİTAK, 323 additional projects were accepted in the 2024/1 term alone, bringing the six-year total to 1,120. This achievement means that 1 in every 10 undergraduate and associate degree students at BARÜ has successfully produced a project.

The number of projects supported by TÜBİTAK 2209-A in previous terms was as follows:

  • 2019/2: 32 projects
  • 2020/1: 27 projects
  • 2020/2: 58 projects
  • 2021/1: 52 projects
  • 2021/2: 133 projects
  • 2022/1: 164 projects
  • 2022/2: 69 projects
  • 2023/1: 150 projects
  • 2023/2: 112 projects
  • 2024/1: 323 projects
With its vision as a “University of Production,” BARÜ has turned research into an active and growing practice. Based on the results of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Support Program, BARÜ is now among the top universities in Türkiye in terms of the number of student projects supported.

In addition, 4 student projects from BARÜ have also been awarded support under TÜBİTAK’s 2209-B Research Projects Support Program for University Students.
