BARU Achieves Significant Success in the THE World University Rankings by Subject

Bartın University (BARU) achieved a significant success in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2026. In the Research Quality indicator, BARU ranked 117th worldwide and 1st in Türkiye in the field of Education Studies, while ranking 232nd worldwide and 4th in Türkiye in the field of Engineering.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2026, prepared by one of the world’s leading international higher education ranking organizations, have been announced. Based on the evaluation of institutions that succeeded in entering the THE World University Rankings 2026, Bartın University also achieved notable results in subject based rankings.
According to the list, BARU was placed in the 501 to 600 band worldwide in the field of Education Studies and in the 601 to 800 band worldwide in the field of Engineering. In the Research Quality indicator, BARU ranked 117th worldwide in Education Studies and 232nd worldwide in Engineering. These results once again demonstrate BARU’s continued development in education, research, and international visibility.
BARU Ranks Among the Top Universities in Türkiye in Two Fields
The rankings were compiled based on institutions’ performance over the past five years in teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook. In the national rankings, BARU shared 8th place in Education Studies with five universities and 11th place in Engineering with nine universities.
In this ranking, BARU achieved 1st place in Türkiye in the Research Quality indicator in the field of Education Studies. In the Engineering field, BARU ranked 4th in Türkiye in the same indicator, marking a highly notable achievement.

In this context, we have ranked among the world’s leading universities in the fields of Education Studies and Engineering in the THE World University Rankings by Subject.
