With the environmentalist project of BARU, paper production wastes will be brought into the economy

With the environmentalist project of Bartın University (BARÜ), supported by TÜBİTAK, waste solutions released during pulp production will be converted into valuable chemicals and brought into the economy.

From Bartın University (BARU) Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forestry Industrial Engineering Research Assistant Esra Ceylan's project prepared within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Module was found worthy to support. With the project called "Electrosynthesis of Vanillin from Kraft Lignin with Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents", which will be implemented with eco-friendly methods, production waste solutions in pulp mills will be converted into valuable chemicals. It is aimed to obtain vanillin by using new generation solvents and green chemistry with the research to be carried out in BARU laboratories.
