BARÜ Graduate Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu Named ‘World’s Best Female Wrestler’

Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu, a graduate of Bartın University (BARÜ) Faculty of Sport Sciences and a national athlete, has been named the ‘Best Female Wrestler of 2024’ by the United World Wrestling (UWW).

The UWW announced the wrestlers of the year in women’s wrestling, freestyle, and Greco-Roman categories. According to the announcement, national wrestler Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu, a BARÜ graduate, was awarded the title of ‘World’s Best Female Wrestler’ for 2024.

The world champion athlete achieved historic success by winning a bronze medal in the women’s 68 kg category at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
