World Art Day Celebrated at BARÜ with Various Events

At Bartın University (BARÜ), different branches of art were brought together through painting, sculpture, music, and workshop activities organized as part of World Art Day.
Bartın University (BARÜ) Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education, organized a program on April 15 within the scope of World Art Day. The opening of the event, which brought together various fields of art, was held at the Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences–Faculty of Education on the Kutlubey Campus, with the participation of BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and Sabri Avcı, President of the Bartın Federation of Associations (BARFED).
The program began with a visit to a mixed painting exhibition featuring works by academic staff from the Department of Fine Arts Education at BARÜ as well as visual arts teachers from Bartın. Examining the artworks, Rector Akkaya emphasized the unifying and transformative power of art and congratulated the contributing academics and teachers.
As part of the World Art Day events, workshops were organized in watercolor, printmaking, drawing and wash techniques, marbling (ebru), sculpture, anime and manga, and musical hearing. These activities, conducted by expert academics and students, provided participants with an enjoyable and enriching experience.
In addition, various activities were held in watercolor, oil painting, and marbling workshops. The program also featured concerts titled “Songs Living in Films” and “Royal Jazz Band,” as well as folk dance and modern dance performances. The two-day event concluded with strong student participation.
