Wood will be turned into “opaque” with the new Project of our university

With the new Project of our university submitted to and accepted by TUBİTAK, wood will be turned into opaque and a new product will be produced. And thus, wood, an indispensable part of buildings and interior design, will be offered in its new look.

“Opaque Wood Production via Deep Eutectic Solvents/DES” Project prepared by Prof. Dr. Gökhan Gündüz, at the Department of Forest Industry Engineering has been accepted by TUBITAK. The Project, which is submitted to 1002- Rapid Support Program of TUBITAK, aims at turning wood into opaque. Associate Prof. Deniz Aydemir and Research Assistant Eser Sözen working at the same department will be researchers in the Project and an important new product in interior designing for architects and engineers will be produced.
