Three Medals from BARÜ's National Wrestlers

Evin Demirhan Yavuz, Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu, and Zeynep Yetgil, graduates of Bartın University (BARÜ) Faculty of Sport Sciences, won one silver medal and two bronze medals at the 2025 European Wrestling Championship.

During the 2025 European Wrestling Championship, held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, graduates from the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Bartın University (BARÜ) achieved significant success. Representing Türkiye in the championship, BARÜ’s national wrestlers Evin Demirhan Yavuz, Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu, and Zeynep Yetgil proudly displayed the Turkish flag with their performances, earning a total of three medals.

In the women’s 50 kg final, Evin Demirhan Yavuz faced Ukraine’s Oksana Livach and secured the silver medal.

In the competition for the bronze medal in the women’s 68 kg category, Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu triumphed over Ukrainian athlete Manola Skobelska with a score of 9-6, securing third place in Europe.

In the 53 kg weight class, Zeynep Yetgil triumphed in her bronze medal match against Viyaleta Rebikava Chyryk finished with a score of 2-1, securing third place in her category.
