Significant Achievement by BARÜ Academics at an International Art Festival

Faculty members from the Department of Fine Arts Education at Bartın University (BARÜ) achieved notable success at the “Around the World: Art Without Borders” Festival held in Russia.
The “Around the World: Art Without Borders” Festival was organized by the Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Within the scope of the festival, in the international painting competition titled “Artist’s View of the World,” Prof. Dr. Ferhunde Küçükşen Öner and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahar Karaman Güvenç from the Department of Fine Arts Education at the Faculty of Education, Bartın University (BARÜ), achieved significant success.
A total of 806 artists from 46 countries participated in the painting competition with their original works. In the “Abstraction” category, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahar Karaman Güvenç won first place with her work titled “Rural,” achieving a remarkable accomplishment. In the same category, Prof. Dr. Ferhunde Küçükşen Öner was awarded third place with her work titled “Inside.”
BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya met with Prof. Dr. Ferhunde Küçükşen Öner and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahar Karaman Güvenç and congratulated them on their achievements in the international painting competition. Rector Akkaya also stated that BARÜ will continue to demonstrate its academic and artistic competence in various fields through high-quality work.
