Rector Akkaya’s Message of Best Wishes to Students Taking the YKS

The Rector of Bartın University, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya, wished success to students who will take the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) this weekend.

The Rector of Bartın University (BARÜ), Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya, issued a message on the occasion of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), which will be held on June 20–21, 2026. Addressing young people in his message, Rector Akkaya said: “Dear young people, after a long and intensive preparation period, you are now taking the YKS. First of all, I believe that the effort, determination, and perseverance you have demonstrated throughout this process will be rewarded, and I sincerely wish each of you success. Remember that regardless of the outcome, the effort you have put forth will be one of the most valuable achievements that will carry you into the future.”

Inviting prospective students to BARÜ, Rector Akkaya continued: “After the exam, an important preference period awaits you. When making your university choices, it is of great importance for your happiness and success that you make informed decisions by considering your interests, talents, and goals. As Bartın University, we will be waiting for you with our qualified academic staff, student-centered educational approach, strong research infrastructure, and green campuses surrounded by natural beauty. On this occasion, I once again wish success to all students taking the exam and would like to thank their families and teachers, who have always supported them through their efforts.”
