PhD Program in Physical Education and Sports Launched at BARÜ

A new PhD program in Physical Education and Sports has been launched at Bartın University (BARÜ) with the aim of advancing innovative studies in sports sciences and contributing to the development of physical education and sports.

Bartın University (BARÜ) continues to strengthen its academic capacity in graduate education. In this context, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has approved the establishment of a PhD Program in Physical Education and Sports within the Graduate School of BARÜ.

The doctoral program, which aims to further enhance research and educational capacity in the field of sports sciences, will contribute to the training of highly qualified academics and researchers. It will also support efforts to monitor innovations in sports technologies, translate them into practice, and develop innovative systems. Through original research in areas such as sports performance, exercise and health, sports education, and sports management, the program seeks both to increase academic knowledge production and to contribute to the multidimensional development of physical education and sports.

BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated that the PhD Program in Physical Education and Sports will contribute to the training of qualified researchers and to the advancement of scientific output in the field of sports sciences, and thanked everyone who contributed to the establishment of the program.
