Nearly Full Quota Occupancy Achieved at BARÜ

According to the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) placement results, Bartın University (BARÜ) reached a 100% placement rate in its associate degree programs and 99% in its undergraduate programs.
The Assessment, Selection, and Placement Center (ÖSYM) announced the Central Placement Results for the 2026 YKS. Bartın University (BARÜ) once again became a top choice for prospective students during this year's preference period. According to the announced results, BARÜ achieved an occupancy rate of 100% in associate degree quotas and 99% in undergraduate degree quotas. In addition, significant increases were recorded in the cut-off scores and candidate rankings across several programs compared to the previous year.
Over 3,000 New Students Join the BARÜ Family
BARÜ achieved an overall quota occupancy rate of 99.63%. With these results, more than 3,000 new students joined the BARÜ community, including students placed via the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) base quotas, high school valedictorians, and the quota designated for women aged 34 and older.
High Demand for Programs Targeting Future Professions
Programs introduced by BARÜ for emerging professions -particularly in artificial intelligence, data science, and digital transformation- saw full enrollment. Associate degree programs such as Artificial Intelligence Operator, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Telehealth Technician, and Smart Infrastructure Technician programs reached 100% capacity. The high interest in these fields highlights students' orientation toward modern and future market needs.
Additional students will also join the BARÜ community through special talent examinations in the Faculty of Education’s Department of Art Teaching and the Faculty of Sports Sciences’ Education of Coaching, Physical Education and Sports Teaching, and Sports Management departments.
Registration procedures can be completed in person between August 24-28, 2026, or electronically via e-registration between August 24-26, 2026.
