National Technology Workshop to Be Established at BARÜ

A National Technology Workshop will be established at Bartın University (BARÜ) with the aim of supporting young people preparing for national and international science and technology competitions.
At Bartın University (BARÜ), a project submitted under the TÜBİTAK 4003-T National Technology Workshops Call has been awarded funding. Titled “Bartın University National Technology Workshop,” the project is led by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zahmakıran from the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science. Through this initiative, a strong infrastructure will be created to support students’ science- and technology-oriented studies. The workshop will provide equipment support, mentoring, training programs, industry collaborations, promotional activities, and assistance for competition preparation.
Within the workshop, practical training will be offered in various fields, including robotic systems, artificial intelligence, autonomous technologies, software development, and manufacturing technologies. The workshop will contribute to the training of a qualified workforce needed for domestic and national industry, while enabling students to take a more active role in research, development, and production processes.
BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated that the National Technology Workshop will establish a strong infrastructure where students can turn their dreams, ideas, and projects into reality, and expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the initiative.
