Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank visited BARU

Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, who was in Bartın to attend a series of visits and opening programs, visited Bartın University (BARÜ).

Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, who first visited the Governor's Office in Bartın, where he came for a series of collective opening and signing ceremonies, visited Bartın University (BARU) after the ceremonies. Minister Varank, who came to the Kutlubey Campus Library, one of the largest libraries in the region, was  welcomed by BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Sedat Yazici, Prof. Dr. Sevim Çelik and university staff.

Rector Uzun, who gave information about the university during the visit, underlined that they have achieved a scientific growth of up to 3 times in the past 5 years with the goal of sustainable development focused on regional development in the field of specialization in "Smart Logistics and Integrated Regional Applications".

Stating that they closely follow the activities carried out within BARU, Minister Varank praised the scientific studies and achievements.

Minister Varank also reminded that one of the most comprehensive facilities in Turkey in this field was established with the "Accessible Living Space Project" implemented by BARU with the support of the Western Black Sea Development Agency (BAKKA) and the construction of which has come to an end, and thanked those who contributed.

Minister Varank chatted with students studying in the library, which allows researchers to work in a comfortable and qualified environment with over 90 thousand books and more than 8 million electronic publications.
