Yayın Tarihi : 23/07/2024
The innovative spring system developed in collaboration between Bartın University (BARU) and Yıldız Technical University (YTU) has been successfully patented by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TURKPATENT).

The invention, titled "A Spring System with Adjustable Spring Coefficient by Magnetic Field Force," was patented following evaluations by TURKPATENT. The innovative spring system, developed by Dr. Mehmet Emin Aktan from the Mechatronics Engineering Department of the BARÜ Faculty of Engineering, Architecture, and Design, YTU undergraduate students Selim Can Övür and Zakharia Fakhouri from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and professors Prof. Dr. Erhan Akdoğan and Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Yılmaz, enables the spring coefficient and thereby the stiffness of the spring to be adjusted by magnetic field force.
