Former minister, Eroğlu, praises BARU

One of former Turkish ministers of Forestry and Water Affairs, Prof. Dr. Veysel Eroğlu, spoke highly of the regional development-oriented studies carried out within Bartın University.

On his visit to Bartın University (BARU), a former minister, Eroğlu, paid a series of visits and attended a few meetings. The minister Eroğlu, welcomed by vice rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zahmakıran and Prof. Dr. Sevim Çelik, and the secretary-general, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Said Ceyhan, was briefed on the practices and activities at BARU by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun. 

Expressing that he closely follows the intensive studies at BARU, Eroğlu praised the activities carried out on education, research-development and social contributions.

Stressing the importance of higher education institutions in the development of a city and a region, “BARU has managed to become a renowned higher education institution with its success. This university, where we experience promising developments for our future, has made great efforts so far. In this respect, I would like to congratulate the Rector, Prof. Dr. Uzun, and all others who have contributed to the development of our country”, said the minister, Eroğlu.
