Excitement at BARU’s Traditional Career Days

Bartın University (BARU) students and graduates came together with industry representatives at the “11th Employment and Career Days,” an event aimed at increasing career opportunities.

Organized by the BARU Career Planning Application and Research Center in cooperation with Bartın İŞKUR, the first day of the “11th Employment and Career Days” concluded with great participation. Employers, students, and alumni gathered at the event, which featured companies from numerous sectors—including healthcare, agriculture, information technology, industry, engineering, and entrepreneurship—presenting their stands and HR representatives.

Academia, Technology, and Artificial Intelligence Discussed

In the opening session, BARU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sevim Çelik and Schlumberger Recruitment Coordinator Umutcan Doğrucu delivered presentations.

In the second session, BARU alumnus Onur Çekiç (HR Specialist at Erciyes Anadolu Holding Gümüşsuyu Carpet), Eyüp Sabri Kundak (Project Coordinator of Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Career Platform), Gökhan Akdağoğlu (Director of KOSGEB Bartın), and Technology Entrepreneur Çağrı Pekdiker shared insights.

At the panel “Shaping the Future: A Multifaceted Map of Career,” Buğra Balaban, founder of staj.com.tr, joined online to discuss overseas internships, career opportunities, and language education support. Marketing Director Neslihan Acar responded to students’ questions. Kadriye Bulut (Social Services Specialist, Green Crescent Counseling Center) and Dr. Cevat Özarpa (Career Center, Ankara Medipol University) also provided information.

Finally, in the “Accessible Career” session, BARU Lecturer Nihal Özdemir and Bartın Municipality Music Instructor Şamil Karakaş addressed the learning and career processes of individuals with special needs.
