Cooperation Protocol Signed Between BARÜ and BAKKA for Regional Development

A “Regional Development Symposium Cooperation Protocol” was signed between Bartın University (BARÜ) and the Western Black Sea Development Agency (BAKKA).
Bartın University (BARÜ) continues its efforts to increase scientific studies on regional development and strengthen stakeholder cooperation. In this context, a “Regional Development Symposium Cooperation Protocol” was signed between BARÜ and the Western Black Sea Development Agency (BAKKA). The protocol, which aims to contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of the region, was signed by BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and BAKKA Bartın Investment Support Office Coordinator Dr. Şahin Baş. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Arslan, Director of Bartın Vocational School, also attended the signing ceremony.
Within the scope of the protocol, a “Regional Development Symposium” will be organized with the aim of increasing the sharing of knowledge and experience in the field of regional development. The symposium aims to strengthen university-public sector cooperation, evaluate regional development policies on a scientific basis and contribute the results obtained to policy development processes.
The event, which will bring together academics, researchers, public institutions and sector representatives, will feature themes and content prepared in line with regional development priorities. The outcomes of the symposium will be reported, and solution proposals for regional development will be developed.
Stating that the protocol will make significant contributions to supporting sustainable development goals, Rector Akkaya thanked BAKKA Secretary General Mehmet Çetinkaya, BAKKA Bartın Investment Support Office Coordinator Dr. Şahin Baş and everyone who contributed for their cooperation.
