Cooperation Between BARÜ and Bartın Tradesmen’s Chambers Being Strengthened

Yılmaz Akdeniz, President of the Bartın Union of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (Bartın ESOB), and his delegation visited Bartın University (BARÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya.
BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya received Yılmaz Akdeniz, President of the Bartın Union of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (Bartın ESOB), along with Hulusi Kaymakçı (President of the Bartın Tailors’ Chamber and ESOB Board Member), Coşkun Yüksel (President of the Amasra Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen), Barış Özkan (President of the Grocers and Dealers Chamber), Ayhan Tepe (President of the Coffeehouse and Sherbet Sellers Chamber), and Registrar Sibel Kaymakçı.
During the meeting held at the Rectorate, the contributions of BARÜ to the city and the region were discussed. The parties exchanged views on potential joint initiatives between BARÜ and the tradesmen’s chambers, with particular emphasis on expanding internship opportunities for students.
They also discussed plans to establish a new computer laboratory at BARÜ, to be used in educational activities, in cooperation with the chambers.
President Akdeniz stated: “We aim to enhance our joint efforts with Bartın University, which makes significant contributions to our city in areas such as the economy, education, culture, and sports, and stands out with its national and international achievements. We would like to thank our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya, for his hospitality and cooperative approach during our visit, and we wish him continued success.”
Rector Akkaya emphasized the importance of new initiatives for strengthening university–city integration, stating: “As a university, we come together with various institutions, organizations, associations, and chambers to collaborate on initiatives that will contribute to our city. In this context, we engage in consultations to further advance university–city integration. I would like to thank the President of the Bartın Union of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, Mr. Yılmaz Akdeniz, and his delegation for their kind visit and close interest.”
