22 Nisan 2026

At the 23 April Children’s Festival organized at Bartın University (BARÜ), a wide range of educational and entertaining activities were brought together for children.

As part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations, Bartın University (BARÜ) organized a series of events aimed at supporting children’s social development. Coordinated by the BARÜ Preschool Education Application and Research Center, the 23 April Children’s Festival was carried out in collaboration with the Department of Preschool Education, the Child Development Program, Çocuğun 100 Dili Kulübü, Çocuk Gelişimi Kulübü and Müzik Kulübü (“100 Languages of the Child” Club, the Child Development Club, and the Music Club). During the festival, children both had fun and gained new knowledge.

Speaking at the program, which began with a musical performance at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Faculty of Education on the Kutlubey Campus, BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated:
“April 23 is the first and only holiday in the world dedicated to children. This is one of the most important indicators of the trust and value placed on children in our country. Today, our children will explore a whole new world through various fields of art, from drama to music. On this occasion, I would like to congratulate everyone on the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.”

Hundreds of students from various schools in Bartın participated in the children’s festival, gaining new experiences through educational workshops and activities. Children enjoyed themselves with face painting, dance performances, and career introduction activities. The festival will continue with a children’s concert and events at the lake area.
