Blood Donation Campaign Launched at BARÜ in Cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent

A blood donation campaign has been organized at Bartın University (BARÜ) in cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent to encourage voluntary donations and strengthen social solidarity.
A meaningful social responsibility initiative was carried out through the collaboration of Bartın University (BARÜ) and the Turkish Red Crescent. As part of the campaign launched under the slogan “There Is Life in BARÜ’s Blood,” tents were set up by the Turkish Red Crescent at the lake area of the Kutlubey Campus. Throughout the day, students as well as academic and administrative staff contributed to social solidarity by donating blood within the scope of the campaign aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation.
BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya also supported the campaign by donating blood in order to raise awareness and draw attention to the importance of blood donation.
Rector Akkaya stated:
“We are very pleased to host the Turkish Red Crescent at Bartın University and to bring them together with our students. To support our campaign launched with the slogan ‘There Is Life in BARÜ’s Blood,’ I was among the first to donate blood. These donations will reach those in need. I would like to thank the officials of the Turkish Red Crescent and invite everyone to donate blood.”
The blood donation campaign will continue throughout the day at the Kutlubey Campus between April 14–16 and at the Ağdacı Campus on April 21.
