BARÜ Signed New Education, Science and Technology-Focused Protocols in 2025

Bartın University (BARÜ) continued to expand its national and international network through new cooperation protocols signed in 2025.
With the aim of strengthening its collaboration network in the fields of education, science, research and technology, Bartın University (BARÜ) signed numerous new protocols throughout 2025. In this context, BARÜ carried out significant agreements not only with institutions in Türkiye but also with organisations from various countries around the world.
At the international level, BARÜ increased its global engagement by signing protocols with the Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB), Uzbekistan University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages, and Huawei ICT Academy. At the national level, BARÜ contributed to city–university integration through protocols signed with the Bartın Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bartın Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, Bartın Provincial Directorate of National Education, Bartın Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate, Bartın Employment Agency, Yunus Emre Institute, Bartın PTT, and the Türkiye Youth Foundation.
In order to support the development of scientific research and joint projects, BARÜ also signed cooperation protocols in education with Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Muş Alparslan University and Yozgat Bozok University. In addition, in 2025 BARÜ became an authorised examination centre for internationally recognised exams including TOEFL iBT, Cambridge Linguaskill General, Oxford Test of English and Burlington VTest.
BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated that the national and international cooperation protocols signed in 2025 strengthened the University’s goals in education, research and social contribution, adding that new collaborative initiatives will continue.
