BARU's Taner Çağlar Clinches Third Place in Europe at Weightlifting Championships

Taner Çağlar, a student at Bartın University's Faculty of Sports Sciences and a formidable national weightlifter, secured a remarkable achievement by clinching a bronze medal at the Youth and U23 European Weightlifting Championships in Romania.

Representing Bartın University on the international stage at the Youth and U23 European Weightlifting Championships held in Bucharest, Romania, Taner Çağlar showcased an impressive performance in the 109-kilogram category, securing two medals.

In a fiercely competitive event, Taner Çağlar stood out by claiming the fourth position in the snatch category, lifting 109 kilograms. His prowess continued in the clean and jerk discipline, where he achieved an impressive 194 kilograms, securing the second spot. With an outstanding total lift of 353 kilograms, Taner Çağlar proudly claimed the third position across Europe.

This accomplishment further solidifies Taner Çağlar's status as a prominent figure in the weightlifting arena and brings pride to Bartın University as he showcases exceptional skill and determination on the international stage.
