With the project of Bartın University (BARU) funded by TUBITAK, recommendations will be proposed for healthcare professionals to cope with stress by bringing a new perspective to the problems they face.

From Bartın University (BARU)’s Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Letters, the project titled "The Effects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Training on Psychological Flexibility and Coping Skills with Stress among the Health Workers from Bartın State Hospital", and led by Faculty member Dr. Gizem Akcan, was deemed worthy of funding.

The project within the scope of TUBITAK 1002-Short Term R&D Funding Program aims to improve the skills of health workers to cope with functional stress and to increase their psychological flexibility. Our students, ‘Ahmet Onur Yıldırım’, ‘Rumeysa Altın’, ‘Burak Fatih Önek’ and ‘Özlem Ünver’, are also involved in the project as researchers from the Department of Psychology.
