BARÜ's national weightlifter Kaan Kahriman won 1 gold and 2 silver medals at the World Championship

Kaan Kahriman, a national weightlifter and a student at Bartın University (BARÜ) Faculty of Sports Sciences, won 1 gold and 2 silver medals in the 67 kg category at the World Junior Weightlifting Championship.

Kaan Kahriman, a student at Bartın University (BARÜ) Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Coaching Education, achieved another significant success. Competing in the men’s 67 kg category at the World Junior Weightlifting Championship held in León, Spain, the national athlete won a gold medal in the snatch with a lift of 143 kg and secured a silver medal in the clean and jerk with a lift of 169 kg. The young national weightlifter also claimed the silver medal in the total category with a combined lift of 312 kg, earning second place in the world.
