BARÜ receives second prize at the “TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Awards”

Asst. Prof. Dr. Samet Çelik from the Bartın University (BARÜ) Faculty of Letters has been entitled to receive the second prize in the field of Social and Human Sciences at the “TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Awards.”
The winners of the “TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Awards,” organized by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) within the scope of TEKNOFEST with the goal of encouraging and supporting the original, innovative, and future-oriented works of scientists, have been announced. Fourteen scientists producing qualified studies in the fields of Physical and Engineering Sciences, Health and Life Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, and Basic Sciences were found worthy of the award.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Samet Çelik from the Bartın University (BARÜ) Faculty of Letters, Department of Psychology, achieved the second prize in the field of Social and Human Sciences with his thesis titled “Investigation of Electrophysiological Changes Occurring Due to Long-Term Underground Work Using the Method of Event-Related Oscillations,” which he completed at Istanbul Medipol University. The award will be presented to Asst. Prof. Dr. Çelik, who won the award with his high-quality work at an international level, at TEKNOFEST to be held in Istanbul between September 17-21.
Conveying his congratulations for the international-scale studies that strengthen the scientific productivity of BARÜ, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya said, “I congratulate Asst. Prof. Dr. Samet Çelik, who contributes to scientific production with his qualified studies, and I wish him continued success. I would like to express my gratitude to the President of TÜBA, Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, and our Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the T3 Foundation, Mr. Selçuk Bayraktar, for their practices that encourage innovative academic studies.”
