BARÜ wrestlers received visas for the Olympics

Bartın University (BARÜ) student Evin Demirhan Yavuz and graduate Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu won the Olympic visa with their success in the Women's World Wrestling Championship held in Serbia.

Bartın University (BARÜ) student Evin Demirhan Yavuz achieved significant success at the 2023 World Wrestling Championship held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. The European champion national athlete managed to get a quota for the 2024 Paris Olympics by placing in the top 5 in the 50-kilo category.

Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu, one of the successful graduates of BARÜ, advanced to the final by leaving the semi-final match with technical superiority in the 68 kg category. Buse Tosun, who guaranteed the silver medal, also qualified to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
