BARÜ Takes Part in the 19th APAIE 2026 Conference and Exhibition in Hong Kong

Bartın University (BARÜ) participated in the 19th Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Higher Education Conference and Exhibition held in Hong Kong under the theme “Asia-Pacific Cooperation for Global Good.”
Bartın University (BARÜ) attended the APAIE 2026 Conference and Exhibition, one of the leading international platforms in higher education, organized by the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education. Representing BARÜ, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and Vice General Coordinator of International Relations Dr. Ahmet Yirmibeş took part in the event held in Hong Kong and engaged in a series of official meetings.
During the conference, Rector Akkaya held bilateral meetings with representatives of numerous higher education institutions, particularly from Romania, the United States, and Portugal. Within the scope of these meetings, significant steps were taken toward cooperation with representatives from Poznan University of Technology (Poland), College of the North Atlantic and University Canada West (Canada), and Universidad Tecnológica del Perú (Peru).
In addition, under the coordination of the Turkish National Agency, BARÜ introduced its academic collaborations, student and staff mobility opportunities, and joint project initiatives at its booth established within the framework of the “Study in Türkiye” promotion activities.
Rector Akkaya stated that BARÜ will continue its engagements in Hong Kong within the scope of the APAIE 2026 Conference in line with its internationalization strategy.
