BARÜ takes its place at Türkiye’s Social Sciences Festival “Sosyalfest”

Bartın University (BARÜ) took its place among the universities providing support and cooperation at Sosyalfest 2026, Türkiye's Social Sciences Festival, of which it is a stakeholder.

The Social Sciences Festival Sosyalfest 2026 program, aiming to produce innovative and human-oriented solutions to social problems, was organized in cooperation with Karabük University (KBÜ) and Istanbul University (İÜ). Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zafer Ceylan attended the festival, which brought together academics, students, and representatives of stakeholder institutions from various universities across Türkiye, with BARÜ being among its stakeholders.

The program, which began at the Istanbul University Beyazıt Campus with opening speeches by the Governor of Istanbul, Davut Gül, emphasized the importance of young people developing social model design skills, adopting a solution-oriented approach to social issues, and bringing scientific thought together with daily life.

Aiming to raise awareness in the field of social sciences, BARÜ became one of the universities showing intense interest in Sosyalfest. A plaque awarded for cooperative and supportive approaches was presented to Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ceylan.
Following the activities held throughout the day as part of the festival, Prof. Dr. Ceylan touched upon the importance of academic and cultural collaborations between universities and thanked everyone who contributed.
