BARU Students Launch Their Dreams into the Sky

Bartın University (BARU) students reached the finals in the Rocket Competition at TEKNOFEST, competing against 824 teams, and successfully launched their rocket into the sky.

Organized under the leadership of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology—with the collaboration of various organizations that play a critical role in advancing national technology—TEKNOFEST continues to ignite excitement across Türkiye. The achievements of BARU students, who compete with teams they have established, add further pride to the nation's "National Technology Initiative" at the festival.

Within the framework of TEKNOFEST 2024, the Rocket Competitions were held by ROKETSAN at the Aksaray Hisar Firing Range. The Space Camel Rocket Team, formed by members of BARU’s Aviation and Space Club, advanced to the finals among 824 teams. In the Medium Altitude Category, the students launched their self-produced rocket and successfully recovered its components by deploying parachutes at an altitude of 8,000 feet, ensuring a safe landing.
