BARÜ Strengthens Its Global Collaboration Network in Hong Kong

Bartın University (BARÜ) expanded its international education network through agreements signed with various universities at the 19th Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Higher Education Conference and Exhibition held in Hong Kong.
Bartın University (BARÜ) continues its efforts to enhance global collaborations in education and training. In this context, BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and Vice General Coordinator of International Relations Dr. Ahmet Yirmibeş attended the 19th Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE 2026) Conference and Exhibition in Hong Kong, where they engaged in a series of official meetings. Organized under the theme “Asia-Pacific Cooperation for Global Good,” the event enabled BARÜ to expand its global academic network by signing bilateral cooperation agreements with various universities.
As part of the event, BARÜ signed agreements with the University of Warwick (United Kingdom), Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (Slovakia), Chungbuk National University and Jungwon University (South Korea), Universitas Negeri Malang (Indonesia), SRH University Heidelberg (Germany), and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).
In addition, Kent State University, the University of West Alabama, and Boise State University (United States); UCAM Universidad Católica de Murcia (Spain); Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania); Poznan University of Technology (Poland); University Canada West and College of the North Atlantic (Canada); and Universidad Tecnológica del Perú (Peru) have also joined BARÜ’s expanding cooperation network.
Rector Akkaya expressed his satisfaction with the agreements, emphasizing that collaborations with higher education institutions from different parts of the world will enhance BARÜ’s international visibility and wishing that these partnerships will be beneficial.
