A cooperation protocol signed between Bartın University (BARÜ) and Todor Kableshkov University of Transport in Bulgaria will pave the way for joint research projects, scientific activities, and exchange programs.
Bartın University (BARÜ) has added another step to its efforts to strengthen international academic cooperation. As part of its internationalization vision in education, research, and scientific activities, Prof. Dr. Krasimir Krastanov, Rector of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport, one of Bulgaria’s well-established higher education institutions, visited BARÜ with the accompanying delegation. During the visit, a cooperation protocol was signed between BARÜ and Todor Kableshkov University of Transport.
The protocol was signed by BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and Todor Kableshkov University of Transport Rector Prof. Dr. Krasimir Krastanov. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zafer Ceylan and Prof. Dr. Handan Ucun Özel, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Design, also attended the signing ceremony.
Within the scope of the protocol, the two universities will carry out activities aimed at conducting research projects, particularly in technical sciences, preparing scientific publications, developing joint degree programs, and organizing online and face-to-face courses. The protocol will also support academic and administrative staff visits, student and academic staff exchange programs, the development of joint activities under Erasmus+, and, where appropriate, students’ participation in internship programs.
Stating that BARÜ will continue to strengthen its international academic collaborations, Rector Akkaya noted that the signed protocol will make significant contributions to joint scientific production as well as student and academic staff mobility.
