BARÜ Ranked in the 401–500 Band in THE Asia University Rankings

Bartın University (BARÜ) achieved a place in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2026, where the world’s leading higher education institutions are evaluated.

The Asia University Rankings 2026, announced by one of the world’s most prestigious higher education ranking organizations, Times Higher Education (THE), included 929 universities from 36 countries/regions. Bartın University (BARÜ) was ranked among the most successful higher education institutions in Asia.

BARÜ Ranks 5th in Türkiye in “Research Quality”

The “THE Asia University Rankings” evaluate institutions based on key performance indicators such as teaching, research quality, research environment, international outlook, and industry. According to the results, BARÜ was placed in the 401–500 band globally and ranked 220th in the “Research Quality” indicator. While sharing the 21st position in the overall ranking in Türkiye with eight universities, BARÜ achieved a notable success by ranking 5th nationally in the “Research Quality” category.

Expressing his satisfaction with this achievement, which contributes to BARÜ’s international visibility, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated: “As a result of our university’s vision focused on high-quality publications and research, we are achieving significant success in international rankings.
