BARÜ Participated in the EAIE Higher Education Conference and Exhibition in Scotland

Bartın University (BARÜ) met with representatives of universities from different countries at the 36th EAIE Higher Education Conference and Exhibition, one of the leading international events in the field of higher education.
Bartın University (BARÜ) took part in the 36th EAIE Higher Education Conference and Exhibition, one of the leading international gatherings in the field of international higher education. Held in Glasgow, Scotland, EAIE 2026 brought together higher education representatives, institutions, and organizations from various countries. Organized this year under the theme “The Rhythm of Revolution,” the event provided BARÜ with an opportunity to hold international cooperation meetings with 64 higher education institutions from 35 countries.
Representing BARÜ at the “Study in Türkiye” stand established under the coordination of the Turkish National Agency were Lecturer Dr. Esra Eroğuz Çoban and Lecturer Kardelen Yaman from the Erasmus Coordination Office. During the program, which focused on strengthening Türkiye’s international visibility in the field of higher education, BARÜ’s academic activities, internationalization vision, and educational programs were introduced. İlker Astarcı, President of the Turkish National Agency, also visited the stand and received information about BARÜ’s internationalization efforts as well as student and staff mobility programs. As part of the event, meetings were held with university representatives from many countries, including Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, and Romania.
Emphasizing the importance of these contacts for BARÜ’s internationalization vision, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya stated that the university will continue to take part in leading higher education platforms around the world.
